Nittany Lion – Charlotte 49er Baseball Games

It was perfect baseball weather for the Nittany Lions' February 2001 double-header with the Charlotte 49ers.  Although the start of the first game was delayed due to a wet field, the Lions didn't let that slow them down - they won by a score of 7-2.  Sunday wasn't as kind to Penn State as the pitchers struggled and they lost 3-4.

On both days there were almost more Penn State parents and fans in the stands than UNC-Charlotte fans.  Penn State Coach Joe Hindelang and the team would like to thank those of you who came out to enjoy the perfect weather and to cheer them on -- our presence was definitely noticed!
